John McCormack has been the station manager of WUTC-FM since 1984. He has seen it grow from a relay facility for another station's broadcast to an independent Corporation for Public Broadcasting accredited radio service. Mark Colbert has been WUTC's program director for 19 years. "I love my job. It's been an exciting experience witnessing the growth of WUTC since its inception in 1986," says Mark. Ken, a Florida native, is a 1976 graduate of Tulane Univeristy who earned his MBA at the University of Georgia in 1977. He has been WUTC's development director since 1989, while simultaneously serving as the station's membership director and host of the radio series Timeless Jazz through 2002. Ken is also a very active free lance jazz critic, having contributed thousands of music reviews to web sites and magazines since 1988. His wife, Nancy, is an elementary music teacher who earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at UTC. Email Ken at Ken-Dryden@utc.edu.
Helen
was born in Tennessee and reared in Ohio. She brings experience as a
Realtor, and has managed and leased outlet malls, retail centers and medical
office buildings in several states. Helen earned a BS in Organizational
Management from Covenant College; is a graduate of the TN Real Estate Education
System, and completed studies at Chattanooga’s Academy of Allied Health.
She resides in Hamilton County with her husband, Robert Sparks
Walker. Helen became enamored with NPR while camping

Robin Higgins manages the business and financial affairs for the station. She is responsible for the annual financial report, grant reporting, and day to day business activities. She also serves as membership coordinator, serving to train volunteers and coordinate giveaways for the on-air campaigns. Robin has been with the station since 1986. LaWaunda
January is the Administrative Assistant at WUTC and has worked for the station since fall 2000. Prior to holding this position, she was
Underwriting Sales Development Assistant for Ken Dryden
for six years. She has experience in Commercial and Public Radio broadcasting.
Her hobbies include gardening and learning photography with her daughter. She
is a Chattanooga native and graduate from the University of Tennessee
at Chattanooga.
