United Way of Greater Chattanooga is gathering school supplies to Stuff the Bus for children in need. Many families cannot afford to purchase school supplies to prepare their children for the beginning of school. Stuff the Bus gathers donated supplies and delivers them to Hamilton County Parent Teachers Association Teacher Supply Depot. Any Hamilton County School teacher can visit the supply depot to obtain classroom and student supplies
Donations for Stuff the Bus are being collected at Walgreens, Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, Social Media Alliance of Chattanooga events, and United Way of Greater Chattanooga offices. The goal is to collect enough school supplies to keep the Teacher Supply Depot stocked for the entire school year. A list of suggested donation items can be found here.
