When Jack Skowronnek was 10 years old he read a book over the summer about a boy whose little brother had cancer, Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie. In a show of solidarity with pediatric cancer patients Jack asked his mom if he could shave his head. Jack just wanted to do something to show support for children fighting cancer. The inspiration of a child has grown into an annual event.
