This summer, a dance program for children returns to Chattanooga.
Dance Alive - founded by Barry and Anna Van Cura in 1997, a partnership between Ballet Tennessee and the City of Chattanooga - provided dance instruction to thousands of children who would not have received it otherwise before the pandemic.
Today, many alumni of Dance Alive have professional careers.
Jenison Eduave is one of them.
She is Outreach and Education Director at The Pop-up Project - and she is directing the relaunch of Dance Alive at two community centers in Chattanooga.
Anna Van Cura now serves as artistic consultant and mentor for Dance Alive.
