Bassem Eid is an internationally-recognized human rights activist, based in East Jerusalem.
On Wednesday, February 14th, Bassem - who is Palestinian - will lead a discussion here on our campus - the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - titled: “Israel, Hamas and the Future in Gaza” - free and open to the public, starting at 5:30 PM in the University Center Auditorium.
I spoke with Bassem, now on a speaking tour of this country and Canada - along with Irven Resnick, Professor and Chair of Excellence in UTC’s Department of Philosophy and Religion.
