CISV Seeks Participants for Cultural Exchange Programs

CISV Chattanooga

TheChildren's International Summer Village (CISV) is dedicated to educating youth through cultural exchange and travel opportunities.

Through summer camp experiences and exchanges with host families, the programs work with young people ages 11 to 25 with opportunities for cross-cultural events and visits to other countries. The all-volunteer Chattanooga chapter is working to train volunteers and mentors for the 2015 camp experience.

In this interview, we hear from a local leader in the Chattanooga Chapter of CISV, James Hobbs as well as 15-year-old Jack White and his mother Beth White.  Jack participated in his first summer camp experience when he was 11 years old.  He has also participated in one of the family experiences living overseas for a few weeks with another family.  His third experience was another summer camp in yet another country.  Jack's mother Beth shares the parent side of the experience as her son spent part of his summers in foreign countries.
