Each year, the Challenger STEM Learning Center here on our UTC campus serves thousands of students and hundreds of teachers in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The center - one of dozens built as a living memorial to the Space Shuttle Challenger - provides simulated space missions that teach real-world applications of STEM principles, summer camps, workshops for teachers and team building sessions.
Thaddeus Taylor is a flight director at the center.
We talked about his work there - and with the Arts-Based Collaborative at UTC, abc@utc.
