An important contribution to quality radio is made by foundations, corporations, and individuals who provide funds to underwrite the presentation of a program or series of programs broadcast on WUTC.

Unique news programming
 NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered are important news sources for listeners, offering detailed and up-to-the-minute reporting. The two shows respectively rank #2 and #3 as the most listened to radio programs nationally. Underwriting singles you out
Underwriting on WUTC places you, your product or service in a unique position by clearly separating your name from the clutter inherent in commercial advertising. Just as you, the underwriter, supports WUTC, WUTC's loyal listeners will support you. 88% of NPR listeners say their opinion of a company is more positive when they discover the company supports public radio.

Less clutter
The breaks in WUTC's programs (generally no more than a minute) are brief, so a business underwriter's message is heard in an uncluttered environment. The flow of the program is not interrupted for the WUTC listener.

You can reach a specific target audience

When asked to name companies that support NPR, 51% of listeners recall at least one. WUTC's audience is upscale and more likely to be college educated than commercial radio listeners.  In a recent Arbitron survey, an estimated 31,300 different listeners tuned into WUTC on a weekly basis for its news programs.
