Great ideas can turn into great businesses if you have the initiative and knowledge to make your dream a reality. For people living below the poverty line a goal like that can seem impossible. LAUNCH is a nonprofit organization that works to empower individuals make that step from dreamer to entrepreneur. Through a series of classes, LAUNCH helps low income or unemployed develop ideas, create business plans, and network with others to start their own business. Since LAUNCH started in 2011 there have been 15 new businesses started in Chattanooga with the potential for many more as the workshops and classes continue.
