The Medical Society is hosting a community forum and enrollment events to address changes in the Affordable Health Care Act.
Certified Healthcare Navigators have been trained to assist individuals with decisions on providers and plans from the Marketplace. The community forum will be held on November 12, 2014 in the Gollie Auditorium at the Health Department from 10:00 to 12:00. The forum will provide information and answer questions about recent changes in providers and reporting requirements for income tax purposes.
Open enrollment for the Affordable Heath Care Act begins November 15th. The Healthcare navigators will be available at New Covenant Fellowship Church on North Moore Road from 10:00 to 2:00 to assist with Marketplace enrollment. Enrollment continues through February 15, 2015. The Medical Society will host additional community eventsto assist with enrollment.
