RISE Chattanooga is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the African-American arts and culture, both past and present, in this city.
Its programs range from community education to performance to a partnership with the History Department on our campus, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
This spring, that partnership has offered a series of virtual talks, open to all on Zoom - titled, “The Struggle for Racial Justice and Equity” - where students have engaged with community leaders.
On Tuesday at 10:50 AM, the series concludes with a talk by Shane Morrow, executive director of RISE Chattanooga.
