Get Vaccinated Chattanooga

Neighborhood block parties are known for free food, music and entertainment.

This Saturday - and the rest of the Saturdays this month - here in Chattanooga, a series of block parties is also providing something else that’s free:  COVID-19 vaccine shots and vaccine education.

The parties - which began last month in Highland Park - are hosted by Get Vaccinated Chattanooga, funded by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation.

Medical staff from CHI Memorial administer the vaccine shots and the education.

Dwayne Marshall is vice president of community investment at the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga.

Dr. Matthew Kodsi is CHI Memorial’s Vice President of Medical Affairs.
