Rabbit Zielke

Host & Producer

Rabbit has been on the air at WUTC since 1993.  Originally a music host on the weekends and the producer/host of Celtic Harvest, she began producing news segments for Around and About Chattanooga in 2006.  In the fall of 2015, she assumed the duties of Membership Manager and Volunteer Coordinator at the station.  Rabbit is an alumna of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, obtaining a BS in Exceptional Education and MPA with a concentration in Nonprofit Management.  Her background includes teaching, technical writing, IT, electronics technician, US Navy veteran and roller derby announcer.  Rabbit and her husband, Jack, live in Harrison, Tennessee.

Lookout Mountain Hang Gliding is hosting a competition September 25 - 27 for beginner hang gliders. 

The documentary Jerusalem 3D is currently showing at the IMax Theater through September 27th and will return November 27th through December 31st. 

On July 16, 2015 five lives were ended by a lone gunman at a military facility near the Tennessee River Park in Chattanooga.  This is the story of what happened from the prospective of a mother visiting the park with her children.

Hunter Museum of American Art

The  next speaker in the Art Wise Distinguished Speaker Series  at the Hunter Museum of American Art is art historian and scholar Sarah Burns, Professor Emeritus at Indiana University. 

Sword and Pen is a creative writing group at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga that offers military veterans and their dependents a chance to get together and write.

The Southeast Conservation Corps partnered with the National Park Service to rebuild the historic Blue Blazes Trail at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park this summer. 

Hunter Museum of American Art

Monet and American Impressionism at the Hunter Museum of American Art will be on display until September 20th.  Dulce Roman, the curator for the exhibit and chief curator for the Harn Museum of Art, was in Chattanooga for the ArtWise speaker series at the Hunter. 

Mike Wann

After the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina photographer Mike Wann sifted through more than 20 years worth of photographs and mementos from his career as a press photographer.  What could be salvaged now resides in a few storage boxes which he brought to Studio Space Junk for display during AVA's Gallery Hop on September 12th from 2 to 8 PM.
