What can we learn from resource extraction and literature in a corner of Latin America a century ago?

Lisa Burner is an assistant professor of Spanish at the University of the South in Sewanee.

This week, she will give a talk on our campus, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, for the Latin American Speakers Series - on Wednesday starting at 5:30 PM in the Signal Mountain Room in the University Center.

I spoke with her - and Edward Brudney, assistant professor of history here at UTC.
