One place that helps veterans translate their skills from military service into success in civilian business is our campus - the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - through the Veterans Entrepreneurship Program at the Gary W. Rollins College of Business.

Each year, VEP provides a multiday immersive experience for veterans - hands-on learning, personalized interaction and role models - featuring faculty, entrepreneurs and experts.

And this year, before VEP, there will also be something new: VEP 2.0.

Sandra Cordell is the program director for VEP at UTC’s Rollins College of Business.

Dr. Frank Butler is a professor of management at the Rollins College.

Lynn Chestnutt is executive director of the Chattanooga office of the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, which mentors veterans as part of the program.

We sat down for this conversation at the TSBDC.
