The bust of Nathan Bedford Forrest sits inside the Tennessee state capitol in Nashville, roped off from the public.
Forrest was a Confederate general, slave trader and an early leader of the Ku Klux Klan.
As Confederate statues and symbols have come down around the South and elsewhere, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has called for the State Capitol Commission to meet this week to decide what to do about the bust.
