This week’s session for the studio in the Chattanooga Public Library features The Briars, Jerris Schmidt and her husband Robert Lovett. Robert and Jerris both write, play guitar, and sing together with seamless harmony. Their stellar harmonies spring from their joy of working together singing and playing their heartfelt, homemade music. They also listen widely and incorporate songs from their heroes including Brandi Carlile, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, and Gillian Welch in their sets.
Richard Winham joined WUTC five years after the station began broadcasting to the Chattanooga area and the Tennessee Valley.
