Let’s rewind to a corner of South America in the late 19th century, when Chile fought a border war - “The War of the Pacific” - with Peru, drawn into the conflict by Bolivia.

In the wake of that war, an outbreak of cholera struck the region, forcing the antagonists to cooperate to try to save lives.

Tomorrow starting at 5:30 PM on Zoom, that story - and how it applies today - will be explored in the Latin American Dialogues Speakers Series on our campus, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
