Tonight (Tues 2/15) at 9 PM on our public media partner WTCI PBS, “American Experience” presents “The American Diplomat.”

The new documentary tells the story of three pioneering Black diplomats who broke racial barriers at the U.S. State Department during the early years of the Cold War and the civil rights movement of the last century.

One of the diplomats, Carl Rowan, came from Tennessee.
