In Overdressed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion, Cline visits garment factories in Bangladesh and China to explore how the fast fashion industry impacts human rights and the environment. She shows how cheap manufacturing has led to a glut of bargain-priced clothes in American chain stores, and how constantly-changing fashion trends induce consumers to overload their closets with shirts, skirts and pants.
