Sword and Pen is a creative writing group at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga that offers military veterans and their dependents a chance to get together and write.
The group is open to students, staff and faculty of UTC that have ties to the military. The English Department teamed up with the Student Veterans Organization at the university to provide workshops and peer encouragement for individuals to express themselves through creative writing and poetry. The next meetings of Sword and Pen are scheduled for September 17 and October 15 from 4 to 6 pm in the Heritage Room of the University Center. For more details you can email Susan Eastman.
