It’s becoming more expensive to rent a home or apartment in Chattanooga. Nearly a quarter of Chattanooga renters are severely burdened by the cost, meaning they spend at least half of their income on housing. That’s one startling statistic brought up during the city’s inaugural Housing Connections Conference. At the conference, city officials, developers, real estate agents, and community leaders discussed why housing is becoming more and more expensive, as well as potential solutions.

More information is here.

A second conference will take place November 10.
