Our guests in the library this week are three of the eight finalists from the recent Songwriters Stage competition. Alea Tviet plays the banjo and sings songs drawn from Greek mythology. Rodney Stroup recently moved here from southern California. He grew up near The Beach Boys and his songs, wry and pointed reflections on life draw on the melodies from classic pop songs of the 1950s and ’60s. Tyler Weaver is one of the overall winners of the contest along with Jennifer Daniels. Tyler sang a few songs for this session, but like Jennifer, he will have a session alone later in the year.
