Hunter Museum of American Art

As the Hunter Museum of American Art celebrates 70 years here in Chattanooga, we’re bringing you a series of conversations on its history, legacy and impact.

For this conversation, we venture beyond the museum’s walls - and into the community.

Adera Causey is the Hunter’s Curator of Education.

Athena Buxton is Manager of Outreach and Access Programs at the Museum.

James McKissic is president of ArtsBuild, the nonprofit that supports the arts in Chattanooga and Hamilton County.

Our thanks for Cara McGowan at the Hunter Museum for bringing us together for these conversations on the Hunter Museum at 70.

Stay tuned for more conversations in the coming weeks here on Scenic Roots.
