Charlie Newton is an artist and a preacher.

His paintings have been exhibited in New York, London, Italy - and throughout the Southeast. They are part of private and public collections all over the world, including the Hunter Museum here in Chattanooga.

Tomorrow, the exhibition for his latest work - “The Black Bible” - will open at Stove Works, with a reception starting at 6 PM.

I spoke with Charlie - and Josiah Golson, programs director at Stove Works.
