Immigrationis a big concernfor Tennessee voters as the November midterms approach, and as a caravan of thousands of migrants slowly makes its way through Mexico toward the United States.
Some see the coming caravan as a threat or an invasion—others see it as a humanitarian crisis.
“Immigrants are welcome here!” chanted a group of protestors Sunday outside UTC’s McKenzie Arena, while Trump supporters lined up to see President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence appear at a rally in support of Republican Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn.
During Trump’s speech, he claimed Democrats want to erase America’s borders.
“Democrats want to invite caravan after caravan of illegal aliens to pour into our country,” he said.
