Beloved Woman is a nonprofit here in Chattanooga that helps women carve their own paths as entrepreneurs who can earn a living wage.

It was founded by Sherry Cothran - songwriter, musician and Methodist minister.

This week, Sherry and her band 30 Grit will perform her new album “REV” at a benefit for Beloved Woman - on Thursday, starting at 7 PM, at Barking Legs Theater.

Opening the show: MS LOL, a local comedian and a recent graduate of Beloved Woman.

Sherry stopped by our studios at WUTC to talk with our own Richard Winham, who brought you their conversation on his show - and with us here on “Scenic Roots.”
