In downtown Chattanooga, the Westside is home to the city’s oldest and largest public housing complex.
More than two-thousand residents live in subsidized housing at College Hill Courts - and in buildings nearby.
Those residents are now taking part in a public process - Westside Community Evolves - to reimagine the district, supporting affordable and mixed-use housing - and spurring commercial development in the area.
Betsy McCright is executive director of the Chattanooga Housing Authority - and Eric Myers is executive director of the Chattanooga Design Studio.
