In Tennessee, Few Women Make it to the Top

Only eight percent of board seats of publicly-held companies in Tennessee belong to women, according a study published earlier this year. The study was done by CABLE, an organization in Nashville, and the business college at Lipscomb University. It was part of a larger national study by the InterOrganization Network (ION) that compares gender diversity in Tennessee companies to companies other parts of the country. The ION study shows a bleak picture of Tennessee.
