You can listen to Chattanooga's NPR News station on the radio, or stream us on your computer or smartphone, via our app or on your smart speakers. Here's how to hear WUTC 88.1
:

  • Over the air: WUTC 88.1 can be heard on 88.1 FM in Chattanooga and the greater Tennessee Valley.
  • HD radio: WUTC 88.1 is also transmitted as 88.1 HD1. 88.1 HD2 is our 24/7 all music broadcast.
  • Live Stream: To listen to WUTC, click the "play" button in the dark blue bar above.

Smartphone or tablet apps:

  • WUTC 88.1 has an app. Find it in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • The NPR App provides local and national news wherever you are. Make sure you’re listening to local content by clicking "My NPR" and choosing WUTC 88.1 as your home station. Find it in the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Smart speakers: We have a full guide to smart speakers here, but the quick version:

  • “Alexa, play W-U-T-C.” Make sure to spell our letters out. This is a live stream, just like what you’d hear on a traditional radio.
  • “Alexa, play [WUTC show or podcast name].” To play the latest episode of a specific WUTC show or podcast.

Not an Amazon customer? No problem. These commands also work with Google Home (start with “OK Google,” instead) and Apple HomePod (start with "Hey Siri").
