"Scenic Roots" offers conversations that matter in the heart of Chattanooga and the Tennessee Valley. From the mountains to the river, our conversations are rooted deep within every corner of our community - reflecting who we are, who we were and who we can become. We engage with the news that affects our community, behind and beyond the headlines. We build bridges that span from creators and innovators to storytellers and the outdoors. We focus on our challenges as many communities in one - as we celebrate what inspires us. (aired Tues 10/12/21)

A true crime historical tour in the heart of Chattanooga will explore some of the grisly and unfortunate happenings in this city over the past 150 years.

The Chattanooga Historical Society - which began as Picnooga - will present the 90-minute walking tour starting this Thursday (10/14/21) at 6 PM and 9 PM from its new location at 110 E. 7th St.

The tour runs on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at those times through Saturday, November 20th.

Leading the walking tours will be Lindsay Stuber, the Society’s curator of collections.

I spoke with her and David Moon, the Society’s founder and president.
