Project Return’s Work With The Formerly Incarcerated
(aired Thu 12/09/21)
Project Return is a nonprofit here in Tennessee that helps former inmates prepare for - and find - work with local employers.
It began in 1979 in Nashville - and this fall, it opened its doors here in Chattanooga, thanks to a state grant and donations from the Unum and Chattanooga Gas foundations.
Project Return offers skills, support and job placement to former inmates - so they have the tools they need to get hired, stay employed and out of prison.
Bettie Kirkland is CEO of Project Return.
