Here in Chattanooga, the Three Sisters Festival of Bluegrass Music is tuning up for its crystal anniversary - crystal with a c, that is.
The festival, free for the public, returns for its 15th year on Friday and Saturday at Ross’ Landing on the Tennessee River.
Friday’s lineup - starting at 6 PM: The New Dismembered Tennesseans, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage - and Bela Fleck with My Bluegrass Heart.
Saturday’s lineup begins at Noon with Bluetastic Fangrass - and ends with Mipso, starting at 8:30 PM.
Fletcher Bright - world-class fiddler, real estate mogul and Renaissance man - founded the festival, and the tradition continues today thanks to Fletcher Bright Realty and Chattanooga Presents!
I spoke with George Bright, Fletcher’s son - and George’s daughter, Eleanor.
