A Half-Century Heritage For The Divine 9 Here At UTC

The “Divine Nine” refers to the nine historically African-American fraternities and sororities in this country.

In 1971, those organizations began to establish chapters here on our campus, two years after adopting its current form as the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
