The Housing Fund partnered with the Ontario Project to provide more than $1.1 million to acquire and build affordable condo units in the Nashville area.

As home prices and rents soar in Nashville, The Housing Fund is a nonprofit that unlocks opportunities for people of low and moderate income in that city to attain affordable housing and homeownership.

In partnership with Metro Nashville, the Fund manages the first-ever Community Land Trust for affordable housing in Davidson County.

Here in Chattanooga, the Fund works with banks to provide down payment assistance and shared equity loans for residents - while building and renovating properties to increase the local supply of affordable housing.

Marshall Crawford is president and CEO of The Housing Fund.

Donna Williams is a housing consultant here in Chattanooga.
