Artist Alex Paul Loza On Crafting The Little Debbie Sculpture

Earlier this summer, Little Debbie Park opened in Collegedale.

Among the confected structures in the park:

  • a Cosmic Brownie sculpture you can climb;
  • an Oatmeal Creme Pie sculpture for climbing or sitting;
  • a Christmas Tree Cake statue;
  • and a life-sized bronze sculpture of Little Debbie serving Swiss Rolls, created by artist Alex Paul Loza.

On Friday starting at 4 PM, Alex will give a talk - at Collegedale Commons’ Chestnut Hall, 4750 Swinyar Drive titled, “Behind the Artistry: The Making of the Little Debbie Sculpture.”
