United for Working Families In The Chattanooga Area

How many families with children here in the Chattanooga area struggle to pay their bills?

Nearly 40 percent.

How many new parents in the local workforce have to return to work just two weeks after their child is born?

One out of four.

Those are a few statistics from a study commissioned by the United Way of Greater Chattanooga, which recently launched a new coalition - United for Working Families, in partnership with local business and community leaders - to start to change those numbers.
