Last month, Captain Larry Taylor of Signal Mountain received the Medal of Honor - the nation’s highest military award for valor - for his actions as a U.S. Army officer and helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War.

Days after, a parade for Captain Taylor filled the streets of downtown Chattanooga - ending at the Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center, whose mission to educate the community and future generations is ongoing.

Steven Thomas is the Center’s director of operations.

Maranda Wilkinson is its director of education and public programming.
