“Origins” By Black Artists At Creative Arts Guild In Dalton

At Creative Arts Guild in Dalton, “Origins” showcases leading Black artists from the Harlem Renaissance to today.

This year’s exhibition at the Guild for Black History Month opens Friday - including a reception at 5:30 PM - and runs through Friday, February 23rd.

In the past few years, Chattanooga Theatre Centre has presented plays from August Wilson’s Century Cycle. “Seven Guitars” - its next production from the series - is part of CTC’s 100th season. It premieres Friday at 7:30 PM - appropriate for mature audiences only.

For the start of this Black History Month, the Bessie Smith Cultural Center in downtown Chattanooga on Thursday will host the first of four events - one event a week - throughout February.
For ETC’s New Beginnings: “Short Attention Span Theatre”

“New Beginnings” is the theme for this season at Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga. That theme takes the stage in ETC’s next production: “Short Attention Span Theatre." Friday's premiere starts at 7:30 PM at Rivermont Presbyterian Church - appropriate for mature audiences only.
