This time of year, photography is the star here on our campus, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Photo Night is an annual showcase for photography - from professionals and students - presented by UTC’s Department of Communication.
This year’s showcase is Wednesday, March 5th, starting at 6 PM, in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center.
Billy Weeks is associate lecturer of photojournalism at UTC.
One of the professional photographers who will be on stage for this Photo Night is Mike Stewart.
He is chief photographer for the South for The Associated Press - and in 2021, he was one of ten AP photographers awarded a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news for their coverage of the protests and unrest across the country after the death of George Floyd in 2020.
