He’s a writer and poet who was born here in Chattanooga.

His words - from poetry and prose to plays and novels - have reverberated around the world.

Ishmael Reed returns to Chattanooga this Saturday.

He will be in conversation with Lakweshia Ewing at the next “Culture on 4,” starting at 6:30 PM on the fourth floor of the downtown Chattanooga Public Library.

Carmen Davis is Senior Director of the City of Chattanooga’s Office of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, which presents “Culture on 4” with the Library.

Ray is the host and producer of "Scenic Roots" - Mondays through Thursdays at 3 PM - and WUTC's Editorial Director.
