The Meacham Turns 40: A Workshop For Writers At UTC

The Meacham Writers’ Workshop is one of the longest literary traditions here on our campus, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

This week, the Meacham celebrates its 40th anniversary - with events free and open to the public - here at UTC and at Stove Works in Chattanooga.

From Wednesday through Saturday, the workshop will feature readings, receptions and special events with award-winning writers, UTC alums and emerging voices.

Sybil Baker - UC Foundation Professor and Associate Head of the Department of English - is Director of the Meacham Writers’ Workshop.

Richard Jackson is the workshop’s founding director.

Ray is the host and producer of Scenic Roots, Mondays - Thursdays at 3 PM on WUTC.
