23rd Annual Rome International Film Festival (RIFF)

The 23rd Annual Rome International Film Festival (RIFF) returns Nov. 5–8, bringing four days of independent film, notable guests and live events to Rome, Georgia.

Students can purchase a discounted pass for just $30! A valid student ID is required and must be shown at the box office when picking up their pass.

With red carpets, filmmaker Q&As and special screenings, RIFF offers students an opportunity to explore independent cinema and hear directly from accomplished filmmakers. This year’s highlights include:

Ray McKinnon's 25th-Anniversary Homecoming: The Academy Award winner opens the festival on Nov. 5 with a 25th-anniversary screening and Q&A for his Georgia-made short film The Accountant, co-starring Walton Goggins.

Jared and Jerusha Hess: The filmmakers behind Napoleon Dynamite return for the world premiere of Jerusha’s new short, Your Daughter Clytnyann, starring Tony Hale and Edi Patterson.

“Rome Remembers Dolly": A closing tribute concert featuring local musicians performing Dolly Parton’s greatest hits.

Hosted in Rome’s walkable historic downtown, RIFF offers a memorable fall weekend built around culture and entertainment.
