Jack's Chattanoggins

Jack Shaves for Kids Cancer

When Jack Skowronnek was 10 years old he read a book over the summer about a boy whose little brother had cancer, Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie.  In a show of solidarity with pediatric cancer patients Jack asked his mom if he could shave his head.  Jack just wanted to do something to show support for children fighting cancer.  The inspiration of a child has grown into an annual event.  Jack's Chattanoggins raises funds for the Children's Hospital Foundation at Erlanger by asking sponsors to donate money in support of people willing to shave their heads.

There are individuals and teams signing up to shave their heads at Jack's Chattanoggins. In this interview we spoke with the Chattanooga Roller Girls.  They have 11 people scheduled to shave this weekend.  The event will be held on Sunday, June 10th at theChattanooga Market from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  You can sponsor someone or gather support and shave your head for Jack's Chattanoggins.
