As neighborhoods evolve, what should urban design look like?

How should the planning rely on creativity, consciously centered in - and engaged with - the community it is supposed to serve?

Those questions will be raised later this week as Chattanooga Design Studio resumes its CIVIQ speaker series - in person on Thursday, starting at 5:30 PM at the Camp House’s new location on East 12th Street.

Eric Myers is executive director of Chattanooga Design Studio.

Erika Roberts - a local artist - is the studio’s creative strategist.

They talk about CIVIQ - and how this week’s discussion connects with Westside Community Evolves, the effort to remagine the district in Chattanooga that is home to the city’s oldest and largest public housing complex.
