The Beginning Of The Beginning: "The 12 Horsemen Of Afghanistan"

MOHHC

When this nation invaded Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks, the projections of how long we would stay - and how we would leave - never met reality during the past twenty years.

But let’s go back to the beginning of the beginning.

Chris Spence served in an elite Army Green Beret team that was part of the initial invasion, a month after 9/11.

For most Americans on that team, it was their first time on a horse.

On Saturday, starting at 2 PM, Chris will present “The 12 Horsemen of Afghanistan” - at the Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center here in Chattanooga.

Keith Hardison is the center’s executive director.
