Echoes Of Chattanooga's Past

For this year's commemoration of America 250, we bring you Echoes of Chattanooga's Past: poetic monologues crafted from oral histories of Chattanoogans born in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

Interviews for the oral histories - archived at The Chattanooga Public Library's Local History & Genealogy Department - were conducted by Norman Bradley, former editor of The Chattanooga Times, and his team.

The monologues were written by playwright Dr. Peggy Douglas, directed by Dr. Anne Swedberg of UTC - recorded and produced here at WUTC.

Our thanks to them and our partners: ArtsBuild (through funding from the National Endowment for the Arts); The Tennessee Commission for the U.S. Semiquincentennial; Mark Making; Rhyme N' Chatt and The Chattanooga Public Library.
