Young and Wiser, a Chattanooga nonprofit helping students succeed, is partnering with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the Public Education Foundation and other organizations for a conference on January 25th.The free conference is open to current college students, prospective college students, parents and teachers, and will help students deal with the challenges of higher education.
Topics at the conference include:
Application process issues Academic issues Financial issues Confusion about what major is right for you Emotional and Social challenges Delays in personal development (7 different areas that can affect readiness for college) Alcohol and drug abuse Getting into problem relationships in college Communication issues between parents and young adults
