Our Jobs, Our Businesses And The Coronavirus

Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce

With lightning speed, the coronavirus pandemic has brutally disrupted our economy, forcing businesses to close and people to lose their jobs.

The layoffs have hit people hard here as they have elsewhere - while business leaders encounter new and uncertain terrain.

Charles Wood is vice president of economic development at the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce.
