Mayor Berke On Policing, Protests And COVID-19 In Chattanooga

Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke

This morning, live on WUTC, Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke joined us for a half-hour conversation.

We talked about last night's City Council meeting, the protests here in Chattanooga against police brutality and the calls for systemic change, the City's budget shortfall due to the economic impact of COVID-19 as hospitalizations of new cases here in Hamilton County hit a new high - and more.

Going forward, we plan to speak with Mayor Berke on the second Wednesday of each month, and then share that live conversation here on "Scenic Roots" - as we do now with our conversation from this morning.
